Payment reminder maker: a ready WhatsApp message for a transporter on credit

Short answer

Type the transporter's name, the amount, the bill number and the date it was due. Pick a tone (polite, firm or final) and a language (Hindi, English or Hinglish). The maker writes the message, you can edit it, and one tap copies it or opens your own WhatsApp with it ready. You press send. This page stores and sends nothing; the text goes to WhatsApp only when you tap the button.

MDG Services makes Khata Kavach, so this page comes from the maker of one of the apps it may mention. It is general information, not legal, tax or financial advice. Facts about other apps are taken from their own websites and app listings on the date shown and can change, so check them there before you decide.

A reminder for one transporter on credit, ready in about a minute. For a petrol pump whose regular customers take diesel on credit.

Make the message

Fill in the amount and press the button.

The three tones

ToneWhen to use itWhat it says
PoliteThe first reminder, on or just after the due dayThe amount, the bill and the date it was due. Please pay and tell us.
FirmA second reminder, or after a missed promiseThat nothing has come yet. Asks for a pay-by date, or a call today.
FinalThe last request, before you stop new creditThat new credit will stop until the amount is cleared. Asks for a call.

None of them mentions police, court or interest. Those do not belong in a chat message.

Before you send

  • One transporter at a time, from your own WhatsApp. No groups, no broadcast.
  • Read it once. Check the name, the amount and the dates.
  • If the transporter gives a date, note it and wait for that date.
  • Keep the chat as part of your record.
  • Decide your rule first: when to stop credit. Send the final tone only if you will do what it says.

More wordings, including a thank-you after payment: seven reminder messages. A written letter: outstanding payment letter. A transporter who always says "kal dunga": what to do.

Khata Kavach's "Ask for payment on WhatsApp" button does the same inside the app, with the amount owed and the limit filled in. You press send. Khata Kavach sends nothing itself.

Questions people ask

01Payment reminder message in Hindi: how do I make one?

Pick Hindi in the language box, fill in the name, the amount and the dates, and press the button. The message comes out in Hindi, ready to copy or to open in WhatsApp.

02Payment reminder message on WhatsApp: how do I send it?

Press "Open in WhatsApp". WhatsApp opens with the message ready. You choose the transporter's chat and press send. This page never sees the transporter's number.

03Baki paisa message kaise likhe?

Name the bill and the exact amount, ask for a date, and say thank you. Pick Hinglish if you want the message in Roman letters, the way you would type it to a transporter.

04Does it send the message for me?

No. It writes the message. You send it from your own WhatsApp, one transporter at a time.

05Can the message mention police, court or interest?

No. All three tones stay on the bill, the amount and a date. A written demand comes later: see the steps for unpaid dues.

06Does the maker keep the transporter names I type?

No. The message is made on your own phone or computer. We store nothing and receive nothing. The text goes to WhatsApp only if you tap "Open in WhatsApp".

About Khata Kavach (advertisement)

Khata Kavach is a shared credit book for petrol pumps, from MDG Services. The transporter asks before each truck fills, your nozzle man sees the limit before he fills, and both of you see every fill, payment and bill. It never lends or holds money.

About this page. This page is general information published by MDG Services, a brand of VRUOOM PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U29194HR2021PTC098450), the company that makes Khata Kavach. It is free to read and needs no sign-up.

We make one of the apps. Where a page compares Khata Kavach with another app or another way of keeping credit, remember that we make Khata Kavach. We compare like with like, use only facts the other company publishes, and say plainly where another app does more.

Other companies' names. Khatabook, OkCredit, Vyapar, myBillBook and every other product or company named here belong to their owners. We name them only to say which product a fact is about. We have no connection with them, and they have not seen or approved these pages.

Facts about other apps. Facts about other apps come from their own websites, help pages and app store listings, on the date shown as "facts checked on". Apps change their features and prices often. Check the app's own website before you decide, and tell us if anything here is out of date: we will correct it.

Not legal, tax or financial advice. Pages about getting paid, notices, interest, courts or tax explain the general position in India on the date shown. Laws and rules change, and every case is different. For your own case, speak to an advocate or a chartered accountant.

Examples are made up. The pumps, transporters, vehicles and amounts in examples are made up, and so is the data on the app screens shown. No example describes a real customer or a real result.

What Khata Kavach is. Khata Kavach records credit fills, bills and payments between a petrol pump and its customers. It never lends money and never holds anyone's money: it is not a bank, a lender or a payment service. A Khata Kavach bill is not a GST tax invoice.
