Example: a made-up business with made-up figures. It is not a real customer.
What these examples are
Each page takes one made-up pump and follows one real situation, from the transporter's request to the bill. The screens are described in the words the real apps use, such as "No credit" and "Call the manager". The names, trucks and rupees are made up. Every table adds up, so you can check the sums yourself.
The three examples
- A month of diesel credit: a made-up pump, Sharma Fuels, and a transporter with three trucks, known at the nozzle by the last 4 digits of the truck number. It shows a request before every fill, a red light when no request was sent, a warning when the rupees look wrong, a manager's PIN past a Rs 2,00,000 limit, one bill and a part payment.
- A disputed fill: a transporter says his truck took 150 litres, not 200. It shows what both phones show, how a manager corrects the line with a reason, and why the old line stays.
- A bill and a part payment: a bill sent on WhatsApp, a part payment by UPI, and what changes when money is recorded without choosing a bill.
| Idea | Where to see it |
|---|---|
| The transporter asks first | Diesel month |
| A manager's PIN past the limit | Diesel month |
| A correction, with the old line kept | Disputed fill |
| Bill, payment and credit opening again | Diesel month, bill and part payment |
What the examples are not
- Not real customers. Sharma Fuels, Sharma Roadlines, Gupta Transport and the plate UP00 SH 1005 are made up.
- Not results. No example claims a result for any pump. The figures show the arithmetic, and nothing else.
- Not a promise of how your pump will look. You set your own limits. Khata Kavach never lends and never holds money. The transporter pays you directly, and you record it.
Why there is no real case study yet
Khata Kavach is new, and we have no real case study to publish. When we do, it will come with the pump's written permission and its own figures, and it will be marked apart from these made-up examples. Until then we show made-up examples and say so, rather than make up a customer and present it as real.
How to read the tables
Each line is one thing that happened: a fill, a payment or a struck-out line. Money received opens up that much credit again. To see the screens behind the examples, read what Khata Kavach does.

Questions people ask
01What is the difference between an example and a case study?
A case study reports what really happened to a real business. An example invents a pump to explain how something works. The pages here are examples, and each one says so at the top.
02How is credit left worked out in these examples?
It is the credit limit minus what the transporter owes. A fill lowers it, and money received raises it by the same amount. The owner sets the limit for each transporter.
03Do the examples show how the nozzle man finds the truck?
Yes. In each one the nozzle man types the last 4 digits of the truck number, sees the light, and types the litres and rupees off the dispenser. Khata Kavach is for petrol pumps that give diesel and petrol on credit to regular customers in their own trucks.
04Do the examples show what Khata Kavach costs?
No. The price depends on your pump. Call us.
