We link the Bharat Petroleum copy and do not host the document.
IndianOil publishes it on iocl.com. We do not link to that site, so search it for "Marketing Discipline Guidelines 2024". The cover says the document is for dealerships of public sector marketing companies MDG 2024, cover page, and the handing-over form at its end names IndianOil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum.
To check your edition, the cover reads "MDG 2024 (Effective 24.10.2024)" and the footer reads "Ver. 1 / 24.10.2024" MDG 2024, cover page.
Version
MDG 2024 is Version 1, effective 24.10.2024 MDG 2024, cover page. It replaced MDG 2012 (Ver. 7, last amended on 30.11.2022) MDG 2012 cover page; MDG 2024 itself calls the older text "the previous MDG" MDG 8.5.5. See MDG 2012 vs MDG 2024.

Circulars and updates we know of
MDG leaves some detail to oil company circulars MDG 1.6(xii) MDG 5.1.12, so the PDF alone may not be the whole picture.
20.03.2025: Customer Service Standards. A circular in a common format for the dealers of all three oil companies. It lists 20 Minimum Service Obligations the dealer must ensure at the outlet under 5.1.18 Circular 20.03.2025 MDG 5.1.18. It sets no penalty of its own: a deviation is dealt with under 5.1.18, which points to the action for minor irregularities, or under whichever other clause fits Circular 20.03.2025 MDG 5.1.18. See the 20 points.
That is the only circular we have logged. Oil companies can also write to their dealers directly, and such letters may not be public, so ask your oil company what applies to you.
MDG requires the dealer to keep the oil company's correspondence at the outlet for ready reference MDG 1.5(iv). General practice, not an MDG rule:
- Ask your field officer at each visit for circulars issued since your last one.
- Check your oil company's website for MDG notices.
Questions dealers ask
01Where can I download the MDG 2024 PDF, on the IOCL or BPCL website?
From the oil companies' own websites: open MDG 2024 on Bharat Petroleum's website. IndianOil publishes its own on iocl.com, so search that site for the title. We do not host a copy.
02Has MDG 2024 been amended?
The text we hold is Version 1 dated 24.10.2024 MDG 2024, cover page, and we have logged no revised edition. Circulars issued under it, such as the one of 20.03.2025, add detail.
03Are there MDG guidelines for 2025 or 2026?
We have logged no separate 2025 or 2026 edition. MDG 2024 is the latest edition we hold, and the one 2025 circular we hold sits under its clause 5.1.18 MDG 5.1.18 Circular 20.03.2025.
